About me

Lilli, a white woman, with shoulder length blond hair, smiles sitting at a sunny restaurant table. She wears a tan coat over a red sweater, and her eyes crinkle up over her broad and crooked-toothed grin.

In 2025, I joined TalkBank at Carnegie Mellon University as a research associate. I work with Dr. Brian MacWhinney maintaining CHILDES and DementiaBank.

My research centers around the role of the senses in language learning. How do babies use their language input, sensory experience and cognitive skills to make abstract inferences? What information do you have when you know the meaning of a word?

I’m a pro at building data storage systems, research workflows, and annotating and analyzing audio and text data.

In my free time, I paint, knit, hunt for antiques, and care for my cats and plants.
